Beyond Belief

Series Two

Gay Byrne with Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams

Beyond Belief returns with a new six-part series of late-night topical discussion programmes hosted by Mick Peelo.

The programmes will explore the main issues of the day through a moral, ethical and religious lens, as we attempt to create a healthy debate and dialogue between the different voices in society that are concerned about the future shape and direction of the country.

We look forward to a lively, animated, passionate but also analytical exploration of serious issues by people who have deeply held convictions about them.

Each of the six programmes will be 45 minutes long, giving plenty time to debate the issues in a comprehensive manner with well known and not so familiar contributors.

The first programme in the series will be transmitted on Monday 23rd September at 11.15pm on RTÉ One.

About The Show

Each week, Mick Peelo will be joined by a panel of experts and non-experts to tackle some of the most talked about and controversial issues facing the Irish people.

  • Conscience
  • Forgiveness
  • Islam
  • The Angelus
  • God and the Media
  • What life really means

Beyond Belief will provide a well-informed, energetic and reflective discussion about who we are and what kind of a society we want for the future. Viewers can expect to feel some heat, but we also hope to shed some light on each subject.
