Blainagh and Gerard Troy
Blainagh and Gerard have three girls; Emma (10), Fiona (5) and Roisin (2) and are expecting their 4th baby at the end of May. The couple have been together for 12 years and started their family when Blainagh was 17. Gerard is in the Irish army and Blainagh is a full time mum.
Living in the countryside in South Clare, a good hour and a half from the nearest hospital, the couple's biggest concern is that they won't actually make it to the hospital on time and that they'll be delivering on the roadside somewhere in between.
Grainne has some tips for Blainagh about what to do in an emergency situation and shows Blainagh how to use a birthing ball during labour to get into a comfortable position. Grainne also offers advice on what she should pack when going to the hospital and makes some suggestions about birthing plans.
