Dingle International Film Festival want young people between the ages of 7 and 11 all over Ireland to come up with the most original cartoon character they can imagine. What a fun Tuesday in the elev8 loft! John and Edward stopped by for chats and games and they brought along with them an exclusive clip from their new music video for Luminous. It was so exciting being one of the first few people in the world to get a look at the video but if you can’t wait to see it in full for yourself- DON’T WORRY-we can all have a good peek on Friday when it’s released!
Sean and I love interviewing Jedward because we’ve met them so many times now that they kind of feel like our friends (our cool superstar friends)! They told us that after the show they had to run with their mum to get themselves new passport photos- so they can travel to all those exotic places and spread the Jedward message. Did you know that they became famous in Asia because of a radio DJ who travelled to London and happened to see them and love them…? That same DJ then kept playing Jedward songs on his radio show and before long they became the Pop Princes of Asia.
John also told us about how much he loves song writing and Edward told us about their secret cinema trips. Keep your eyes peeled next time you’re at the movies… you never know who you might see in the back row!!
‘The Why Files’ ace science reporter Amy Phillips recently jetted off with Sean and resident scientists Phil and Aoibheann to visit the European Space Centre in Brussels! They were really put through their paces - everything from building mini rockets to manning the ESC’s Shuttle Simulator. The first thing I noticed when we arrived at the Space Centre was the hundreds of solar panels on the roof and at the side of the Centre that powered the whole building! Inside, we first saw an amazing space shuttle called ‘Amicitia’. Inside the shuttle, we made rockets that we later set off outside in the Launching Station!

Dublin players Eamon Fennell & Bernard Brogan have teamed up to run a very special football camp over the Easter holidays to give kids the chance to train with some of the top players in the country…
There’s all sorts of great activities for budding GAA All Stars – learn how to take the perfect free kick with Bernard Brogan, master the art of high-catching and fielding the ball with midfield dynamic duo Eamon Fennell and Michael Darragh MacAuley, and get a masterclass in defensive tackling from Mick Fitzsimons! This week’s camp is all full up, but limited places are still available for 7-12 year olds for next week’s which is running from Tuesday 10th April – Friday 13th April, from 10:00AM until 2.30PM each day, and costs €60. AGH! Diana here, and I am having a HUGE fangirl attack after going to see The Voice live show last weekend. My friend and I had such a ball! We got to meet Pixie Lott AND Kian from Westlife. This was all in the run-up to meeting the man of the hour, BRESSIE !!! During the show people were shouting BRES-NON, BRES-NON, BRES-NON, and I have to admit I got a bit caught up in the action myself!
During the break, the crowd ran STRAIGHT for Bressie, he looked like he had no room to breath, but he kept on smiling and signing pictures for everyone :) What a sweetheart! He told me that the other day he was driving his car and stopped at a red light. Before the light went green again his car was surrounded by girls trying to get his signature/ touch his face/ steal something of his/ get ANYTHING AT ALL! He said he wouldn't change it for the world though. The man really loves his fans!

WE ARE having about as much fun as Jedward in a glitter factory this year! RTÉjr radio present a wealth of fun classical music especially for children performed live on digital radio, lyric fm and videocast on line
Tomorrow , Wednesday 9th November, Emma O Driscoll, RTÉjr Radio and Liz Nolan, RTÉlyric FM will host a Children’s Classical Concert live from Studio 1 in the Radio Centre, starting at 12 noon. The concert will be performed in front of an invited audience including a specially chosen class of children from Wicklow Educate Together. The concert will feature the RTÉ Concert Orchestra conducted by Gearóid Grant, and the programme will include children’s favourites including Tubby the Tuba, the Teddy Bears Picnic, William Tell Overture and a Toy Story Medley sung by Emmanuel Lawler.
Ms. Frances Fitzgerald, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs will attend open the concert. The concert will be streamed on the RTÉ website so children all over Ireland can participate in the actions to the pieces of music and watch the concert as it takes place !
What a busy few weeks it's been in both TRTÉ offices and the elev8 loft- between meeting Jedward, petting boa constictors, hanging out on the red carpet of the Three Musketeers and celebrating my birthday, I don't know how I found the time to breathe...!

I can't believe it's the middle of May already.... how the time has FLOWN. We're already on our second last week of the show before the summer. It'll be sad to say goodbye to everyone for the summer weeks but elev8 will be back with a bang in September, better than ever and I'm already looking forward to it =]
We've had so much fun in the loft over the last few months. I've lost count of the amount of laugh out loud moments.... there's been too many! Do you have any favourite elev8 moments?
If you missed the show yesterday; you missed out on the cutest puppies on the planet! Rana and Tia dropped by the loft along with Conor from the ISPCA to show off their cuteness and to tell us about the Pedigree Adoption Drive.
I had to take a picture with them as they really were the most adorable puppies I have ever set eyes on; and I thought I could share the photo with you.
See that everyone? It's the Easter Bunny's tail disappearing around the corner for another year. It's been such an lovely holiday, how did you guys spend it? Did you get many Easter eggs? And most importantly, did you eat them all in one day?!
I wish I could boast about all the yummy Easter eggs I munched my way through but unfortuantely, my family likes to celebrate Easter a little differently. In a way where there's no chocolate involved! Sound strange? It's not really... it's just the tradition in Moldova, where I was born.
Back in Moldova there are no delicious small and big and chocolate and white chocolate and dark chocolate eggs... instead we like to indulge in the hard boiled variety. But don't despair! They're painted red. Which makes them MUCH better.

It's been a busy few days in the elev8 loft what with JLS AND Shane Ward popping by... but outside of the loft I've been a busy little bee too. I got to interview Mary Byrne last week which was wonderful. She was launching her new album in Ballyfermot so we thought we'd take our camera's down for a wee chat. You'll be able to see that on Friday's show so watch out for it!
We've got a family pass (4 tickets) to see the coolest new flick to hit cinema screens- Rio this Sunday 27th March at 11am in the Savoy Cinema on O'Connell Street, Dublin!

I just wanted to share with you this photo from our 100 show anniversary! We had a delicious chocolate cake that we all made sure to have a piece of... best cake I have ever eaten... in my whole life. And I'm not much of a cake person!
It's been so much fun over the past 100 shows- if I had to pick a favourite memory I would be sitting here uuum-ing and aaah-ing for days. There's been too many fun times to choose just one. We've had such amazing guests on... I really loved the Harlem Globetrotter's and of course Justin Beiber- I know he wasn't on the show in person but I got to interview him and that still counts!
It's Friday which is pretty exciting in itself but what makes this Friday extra cool is that Sean got to meet Bruno Mars earlier on in the week and today you'll get to see what happened! I've had a sneaky peek already and I think you'll love it :D
Do you have any nice weekend plans? I'm hoping to bring my brother to see STOMP this weekend. I went to see it on Tuesday night and it was so much fun! And really funny too. They involve the audience loads which makes it even better...
I have five pairs of tickets to the Irish Times Motor Show that is on this weekend- 25/26/27 Feb in the RDS, Dublin.
The exhibition is on Friday from 11am- 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm. There's loads going on and if you're mad about cars, you'll love it!!

What did you get up to at the weekend? I was a very, very lucky girl and got to go to the Irish Film and Television Awards with the one and only Douglas Oman, fashion guru extraordinaire of elev8 (and Late Late Toy Show) fame.
Hearing that sentence was music to my ears! I've always loved the Jedward twins, they're fun, full of energy and you never know what to expect from them. I love that they went on X-Factor believing in themselves and what they have to offer and that they didn't let anyone get them down- look how it's paid off :D

It's sporting Tuesday and today we had a stuntman on our show! Brendan Condren was more than happy to answer your questions-
Brona Keegan, Co. Westmeath asked if it's hard to do stunts. Brendan admitted that it can be quite hard at times, but it's what he loves to do so it's worth it!
I love the fresh start that every new year brings. This year I am going to take the stairs in work and not the lift- I've been very bold for that lately! I'm also going to try to learn Italian and start a new sport. Any suggestions for me? I might take up Tae Kwon Do again... I always enjoyed that when I was younger! Although I don't think I'll ever be strong enough to break pieces of wood in two.
What are your new years resolutions?! Oh... I've just remembered another one of mine! To meet the Script! I adore them. They're one of the greatest bands ever... maybe even one of Ireland's Greats! Speaking of which, we have a sort of competition here on elev8 called elev8's greats! We're going to find out who you think the best Irish person of all time is... we're talking heroes here. It's almost Christmas! Well... it's just over two weeks away. But still.... it's almost Christmas :)
Christmas time is my favourite time of the year by far. I love the chilly afternoons, the way town looks so pretty with all the fairy lights and spending lots of time with my family and friends watching Christmas movies and having snowball fights (and making giant snowmen too!).
The snow this year was such a lovely surprise! It reminded me of winter time in Moldova where there's always so much snow for weeks on end. My favourite thing to do was to play on my home made sledge and have snow ball fights with all the other children living on my road...
I have some really exciting news! I'm going to interview new boyband The Wanted on Friday and I thought I'd see what you guys want to know about them... just comment below and I'll do my very best to get the answers to your questions.
