They were really put through their paces - everything from building mini rockets to manning the ESC’s Shuttle Simulator. The first thing I noticed when we arrived at the Space Centre was the hundreds of solar panels on the roof and at the side of the Centre that powered the whole building! Inside, we first saw an amazing space shuttle called ‘Amicitia’. Inside the shuttle, we made rockets that we later set off outside in the Launching Station!

There’s all sorts of great activities for budding GAA All Stars – learn how to take the perfect free kick with Bernard Brogan, master the art of high-catching and fielding the ball with midfield dynamic duo Eamon Fennell and Michael Darragh MacAuley, and get a masterclass in defensive tackling from Mick Fitzsimons! AGH! Diana here, and I am having a HUGE fangirl attack after going to see The Voice live show last weekend. My friend and I had such a ball! We got to meet Pixie Lott AND Kian from Westlife. This was all in the run-up to meeting the man of the hour, BRESSIE !!! During the show people were shouting BRES-NON, BRES-NON, BRES-NON, and I have to admit I got a bit caught up in the action myself!
During the break, the crowd ran STRAIGHT for Bressie, he looked like he had no room to breath, but he kept on smiling and signing pictures for everyone :) What a sweetheart! He told me that the other day he was driving his car and stopped at a red light. Before the light went green again his car was surrounded by girls trying to get his signature/ touch his face/ steal something of his/ get ANYTHING AT ALL! He said he wouldn't change it for the world though. The man really loves his fans!

AGH! Once again, we are in the middle of an EPIC and busy week here at elev8 towers! RTÉjr radio present a wealth of fun classical music especially for children performed live on digital radio, lyric fm and videocast on line
Tomorrow , Wednesday 9th November, Emma O Driscoll, RTÉjr Radio and Liz Nolan, RTÉlyric FM will host a Children’s Classical Concert live from Studio 1 in the Radio Centre, starting at 12 noon. The concert will be performed in front of an invited audience including a specially chosen class of children from Wicklow Educate Together. The concert will feature the RTÉ Concert Orchestra conducted by Gearóid Grant, and the programme will include children’s favourites including Tubby the Tuba, the Teddy Bears Picnic, William Tell Overture and a Toy Story Medley sung by Emmanuel Lawler.
Ms. Frances Fitzgerald, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs will attend open the concert. The concert will be streamed on the RTÉ website so children all over Ireland can participate in the actions to the pieces of music and watch the concert as it takes place !

Hey everyone,
I can't believe it's the middle of May already.... how the time has FLOWN. We're already on our second last week of the show before the summer. It'll be sad to say goodbye to everyone for the summer weeks but elev8 will be back with a bang in September, better than ever and I'm already looking forward to it =]

See that everyone? It's the Easter Bunny's tail disappearing around the corner for another year. It's been such an lovely holiday, how did you guys spend it? Did you get many Easter eggs? And most importantly, did you eat them all in one day?!
I wish I could boast about all the yummy Easter eggs I munched my way through but unfortuantely, my family likes to celebrate Easter a little differently. In a way where there's no chocolate involved! Sound strange? It's not really... it's just the tradition in Moldova, where I was born.
Back in Moldova there are no delicious small and big and chocolate and white chocolate and dark chocolate eggs... instead we like to indulge in the hard boiled variety. But don't despair! They're painted red. Which makes them MUCH better.

I just wanted to share with you this photo from our 100 show anniversary! We had a delicious chocolate cake that we all made sure to have a piece of... best cake I have ever eaten... in my whole life. And I'm not much of a cake person!
It's been so much fun over the past 100 shows- if I had to pick a favourite memory I would be sitting here uuum-ing and aaah-ing for days. There's been too many fun times to choose just one. We've had such amazing guests on... I really loved the Harlem Globetrotter's and of course Justin Beiber- I know he wasn't on the show in person but I got to interview him and that still counts!

Happy New Year everyone!
I love the fresh start that every new year brings. This year I am going to take the stairs in work and not the lift- I've been very bold for that lately! I'm also going to try to learn Italian and start a new sport. Any suggestions for me? I might take up Tae Kwon Do again... I always enjoyed that when I was younger! Although I don't think I'll ever be strong enough to break pieces of wood in two.
What are your new years resolutions?! Oh... I've just remembered another one of mine! To meet the Script! I adore them. They're one of the greatest bands ever... maybe even one of Ireland's Greats! Speaking of which, we have a sort of competition here on elev8 called elev8's greats! We're going to find out who you think the best Irish person of all time is... we're talking heroes here. It's almost Christmas! Well... it's just over two weeks away. But still.... it's almost Christmas :)
Christmas time is my favourite time of the year by far. I love the chilly afternoons, the way town looks so pretty with all the fairy lights and spending lots of time with my family and friends watching Christmas movies and having snowball fights (and making giant snowmen too!).
The snow this year was such a lovely surprise! It reminded me of winter time in Moldova where there's always so much snow for weeks on end. My favourite thing to do was to play on my home made sledge and have snow ball fights with all the other children living on my road...
