Dingle International Film Festival want young people between the ages of 7 and 11 all over Ireland to come up with the most original cartoon character they can imagine. It can be any kind of character you wish, taken from myths, fairy tales, sci-fi, adventure or your own everyday life. Your character can have super powers or simply be happy going about his/her daily routines. You can draw you character using any material or you can create your character on a computer.

The winner will receive:

The winner will be given a Family Weekend trip to Dingle as VIPs to attend Dingle International Film Festival. This package includes:

2 nights B&B in The Dingle Skellig Hotel
VIP Passes to The Film Festival
A family trip to see Fungi the dolphin
A family ticket to Ocean World

(Prize based on 2 adults and 2 children and has to be used for the festival weekend in Dingle)

• Entries must be mailed to: John Benny Moriarty’s, Dingle IFF Cartoon Competition, Strand, Street, Dingle, Co. Kerry

• Entries must be on an A4 sheet of paper

• Entries can be Landscape or portrait

• Entries can be hand drawn or be designed with a computer

• Entry must include a written description of your character (no more that 50 words)

Judges decision will be final

Exhibition of animation works: A selection of the competition entries will be exhibited at the festival. The judges will select the works for exhibition.
