Kristen Bell has opened up about her recent experience of motherhood after giving birth to her first child earlier this year.
Speaking to chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, the Veronica Mars star said "[motherhood is] actually better than I expected. It's pretty wonderful . . . a lot of fun".
Bell and her actor fiancé, Dax Shepherd, welcomed their daughter, named Lincoln, in March. Bell praised Shepherd as a father, explaining: "It's like he's just made a new best friend. He just talks to her all day and sings to her all day, and it's wonderful".
32-year-old Bell then went on to explain that she won't be releasing photographs of her newborn, saying that the couple want to leave the choice up to her whether she wants to be in the limelight or not.
However, DeGeneres then went on to draw a portrait of what she thinks the baby may look like, with facial feature clues from Bell.
Talking about their unique choice of baby name, Bell explained: "well it's always been Dax's favourite baby name and he's substantially bigger than me, so I lost!"
