The line-up for next month's Sky Road TV & Film Festival in Clifden, Co Galway has been announced, with over 60 screenings part of the inaugural programme.

The festival runs at the Station House Theatre in Clifden from September 5 to 7 and features the world premiere of the Tommy Tiernan documentary Tommy: To Tell You the Truth.

The line-up also includes the Roger Corman documentary It Came from Connemara and the Irish premieres of cycling documentary Endure, ocean rowing documentary One Ocean, No Limits and Torthai Na Daoirse – Blood Fruit, the story of the Dunnes Stores anti-apartheid strikers.

Festival Chairman Eamonn Ó Cualáin said: "Our festival aims to shine a spotlight on the best of Irish Film, Television and New Media."

He continued: "The quality and quantity of submissions in this our first year has been overwhelming, which has made the final selection process very difficult.

"We are very excited about our first programme and look forward to presenting audiences in Clifden with a unique festival experience."

There will be prizes at the festival for Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Feature Documentary, Best Short Documentary and Best Documentary Series, as well as awards for New Media shorts.
