Morrissey has announced a string of shows across Europe with several gigs in Germany and Italy but with no sign of an Irish date as yet.
The perpetually embattled singer announced the tour last night (August 25) on the True to You website and his show in London's O2 on November 29 is the nearest for Irish fans.
Asked if any Irish dates "were on the horizon" during a recent interview, Morrissey replied "Is there a horizon? That's the question." Some sources claim that the O2 in Dublin has been booked for a Morrissey show later this year. His last dates in Ireland were in 2011.
Morrissey's return to live duties follows recent cancellations of dates due to ill health and his on-going row with his new label Harvest over his latest album World Peace Is None Of Your Business, which has since been removed from US iTunes and Spotify.
Morrissey has claimed that he has proof that he had been dropped by the label, after Harvest denied claims that their relationship had ended following the release of the album.
In a statement posted on True To You, which is seen as the singer's official mouthpiece, last week, he claims that Harvest "botched" the release of the acclaimed new album.
According to True to You, Morrissey is now seeking a label to issue World Peace Is None of Your Business, "which is now withdrawn from the Capitol-Harvest Records catalogue."
