Miley Cyrus was the big winner at last night's MTV Video Music Awards taking home the coveted Video of the Year award. Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and Beyonce were among the other winners.
Cyrus' Wrecking Ball video beat out stiff competition from Beyonce, Iggy Azalea, Pharrell Williams and Sia for the top honour on the night, while Ed Sheeran took home the trophy for Best Male Video with his single Sing, and Katy Perry's Dark Horse was named Best Female Video.
Best Pop video went to Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea for their song Problem, Best Hip-Hop Video went to Drake ft. Majid Jordan with Hold On (We're Going Home) and Best Rock Video went to Lorde for Royals.
Beyonce was presented with the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award by her husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy at the end of the star-studded ceremony.
