Deirdre Kinahan's Spinning for Theatre Festival

Spinning

Deirdre Kinahan’s new play, Spinning, is a story of two people who were never destined to meet but whose lives, when they collide by chance, spin out of control and are changed for ever.

In small-town Ireland, father-of-one, Conor, is desperate to hold onto a life that is disintegrating before his eyes. Susan is a mother searching for reason in the darkness of her teenage daughter's killing.

A contemporary tragedy comes to light when they finally meet. What does it feel like to lose everything? To explain? To forgive? What does it take to forgive the unforgivable and could you ever do it?

Directed by Jim Culleton, this Fishamble production  - opening as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival - includes Fiona Bell, Caitriona Ennis, Janet Moran and Karl Shiels. Opens Friday Oct 3 in Smock Alley Theatre (previews from Wednesday Oct 1).
