61-year-old actor Pierce Brosnan has admitted that action movies have gotten "tough" at his age.

The former James Bond, who stars in upcoming action-thriller The November Man, said that the experience of filming the movie wasn't easy.

He told PA at the film's premiere in Los Angeles: "Acting is always hard. But action is tough, if you're 24 or if you're a man of a certain age - I'm 61. It gets pretty hard to go out there and do it.

"You have to look after yourself. Luckily I had a bunch of the lads from the James Bond days. We worked and worked... so I was well protected by old friends."

In The November Man, Brosnan plays a retired CIA agent who is called upon one last mission involving the protection of a valuable witness.
