Ryan Tubridy reveals his wish list of guests for the new season of the Late Late Show, plus spills the beans on plans for a new set.

Speaking to RTÉ Ten Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy revealed that he really wants to have a chat with man of the moment Rory McIlroy and Love/Hate star Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.

"Tom has never been on the show and I feel it's time. He is the exact opposite of Nidge and I really want the audience to see that.

Ryan also told RTÉ Ten that the show is getting a make-over with a brand new set – although it wouldn't be in place until after Christmas.

Tubs added that he was pleased with how the show is "“an old-fashioned chat show in a modern world”  and by the end of last season he felt like they were begging to give it a reboot.

“I thought we upped the game. It was the beginning of a Late Late Show reboot for me,”

“I am fizzing with ideas and enthusiasm, even though my face might belie that.”
