Rachel McAdams and Mark Ruffalo have been cast in Spotlight.
According to Deadline, Tom McCarthy will direct the upcoming film about the Boston Globe's investigation into the decades-long cover up of sexual assaults be paedophile priests in the Catholic Church.
McCarthy (Up, Million Dollar Arm) will write the script with The West Wing's Josh Singer.
Michael Keaton, Aaron Eckhart, Liev Schreiber and Stanley Tucci will also star in the film.
Ruffalo and McAdams will play reporters Michael Rezendes and Sacha Pfeiffer, who spent a year interviewing victims and reviewing thousands of pages of documents.
Schreiber will play then-editor of the Boston Globe Marty Baron while Keaton has the role of Spotlight Team editor Walter 'Robby' Robinson.
Spotlight is due to begin filming in Boston and Toronto later this autumn.
