Beyoncé will perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards - and she will also receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
The ceremony will take place at The Forum in Inglewood, California, MTV have announced today.
MTV apparently want Beyoncé to sing songs from her Beyoncé album, which she released on iTunes last year without a big publicity campaign.
The NY Daily News newspaper recently reported that MTV did not extend the host invitation to husband Jay Z.
Beyoncé leads the VMA nominees with eight nominations, including Video of the Year for Drunk in Love, her collaboration with Jay Z. Rappers Iggy Azalea and Eminem have seven nominations each.
