Fun Lovin' Criminals have cancelled their set at the Indiependence Music and Arts Festival in Mitchelstown, Co Cork on Sunday night due to circumstances beyond their control.

Indiependence released a statement via Facebook that read: "Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond their control, Fun Lovin' Criminals have had to cancel their performance at Indiependence this evening."

It continued: "The band are bitterly disappointed and hope to get back to Ireland very soon! The slot will be filled by Cork legends, The Frank & Walters. Really looking forward to having the lads back at Indie14!!!"

Fun Lovin' Criminals were set to play the festival's main stage at 9.15pm on Sunday ahead of headliners Public Enemy.
