Fiddler and last surviving member of the original line-up of The Dubliners John Sheahan will join Damien Dempsey for his National Concert Hall performance on August 10.

Also joining Damien on the night are duo Lumiere and young country singer Nicole Maguire. Further guests will be announced and some of the proceeds of the show will go towards a suicide awareness charity.

To coincide with the concert, Damien will release the single Chris & Stevie from his number 1 album It’s All Good The Best of Damien Dempsey to highlight suicide awareness, a cause close to his heart.

An accomplished poet and composer, Sheahan's best-known composition is The Marino Waltz and he has contributed to recordings by U2, Kate Bush, Sinéad O’Connor and Damien Dempsey himself.

Tickets on sale now from www.nch.ie/online and National Concert Hall Box Office: (01) 417 0000
