Dublin five-piece, I Draw Slow mark the release of their new single, Souvenirs on Friday August 22, with a headline show at Whelans.
This show marks a return to Ireland for the band following their sell-out US tour, on the back of their critically-acclaimed album, White Wave Chapel. White Wave Chapel was an Album of the Week on RTE Radio 1, which topped the iTunes Ireland folk chart and made it to number 2 in the overall iTunes Ireland Album Chart. It’s the band's third album, released through the US- based Pinecastle label.
I Draw Slow have been playing and recording together since 2008 when siblings Louise and Dave Holden were joined by Adrian Hart (violin), Colin Derham (claw-hammer banjo) and Konrad Liddy (Double Bass).
Fans include actors Hugh O’ Conor (The Stag) and Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) who chose to direct and star in the video for Valentine. The video was shot in Dublin and has received over 20,000 views online. The band's earlier video for the track Goldmine has topped 80,000 views online. Tickets €13, available from http://www.whelanslive.com/
