Laura Dern is set to receive the Gregory Peck Award at the Dingle International Film Festival this month.
The renowned actress will be honoured with the award, which celebrates excellence in the art of film, at The Blasket Centre, Dún Chaoin on Wednesday July 16.
At the event, Dern will be interviewed about her career in Hollywood by Dingle International Film Festival's Artistic Director Maurice Galway.
Galway commented: "Laura is a true artist, an outstanding actress who has worked with the best directors in the business and I am truly honoured to have the opportunity to welcome Laura and her family to Dingle, and indeed Ireland, for the first time, for this one-off and unique event. This is a real coup for the festival.
"As director of the festival I am delighted, but as a fan I am very excited!"
The Oscar-nominated star (Rambling Rose) has won four Golden Globes for Enlightened, Recount, Afterburn and Miss Golden Globe. She currently can be seen on the big screen in The Fault in Our Stars.
Past recipients of the Gregory Peck Award include Gabriel Byrne, Jim Sheridan and Stephen Frears.
