He played Anthony Moon on Albert Square for just over a year, and now former EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas is planning on heading for the bright lights of Hollywood.
Speaking exclusively to RTÉ Ten, 25-year-old Lapinskas said that he would love to land a part in popular HBO fantasy drama, Game of Thrones.
"I'm looking forward to giving Hollywood a crack. It should be fun. I hope to land myself a part in a gritty TV series; something that I can really sink my teeth into and make my own," he said.
"You can't really be picky over there, and kind of have to take what you're given. But, I'd love to show them what I can do."
Lapinskas added: "I've started to watch Game of Thrones lately. I think that would be a great show to work on. I'd love that. I'd also like to work with Guy Ritchie or Martin Scorsese. Tom Hardy is a brilliant actor. It would also be cool to work with him."
Matt makes his musical debut in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, which runs from August 12 - 17.
