One of Coronation Street's much-loved residents is to suffer a horrific accident in the soap next month.

Warning: Spoiler Alert!

It has been revealed that Weatherfield local Tyrone Dobbs, played by Alan Halsall, will be close to death when he is involved in a building accident. While he will survive, he will be left with broken bones.

According to the Daily Star, Tyrone's roof will collapse during renovations to his house, leaving him trapped under a pile of rubble. He is also struck by a large drill.

Friends and family will watch on in horror as he is rushed to hospital in excruciating pain.

Builder Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) was contracted by Tyrone to do the work and is left feeling guilty over the incident.

These scenes are due to air next month.
