Denis Leary's rock star show Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll has been picked up by FX for a full series after a successful pilot aired in January on the US satellite channel.
The ten-episode show will debut in 2015 and former Rescue Me star Leary leads as middle-aged, failed fictitious musician Johnny Rock. He was front man of early '90s band The Heathens who broke up the day their debut album was released.
Leary said: "I am extremely elated at the opportunity to once again be working with John Landgraf and the fine executive talent over at FX.
"They have a great platform for comedy, an award-winning marketing team and an amazing new Nespresso machine in the conference room."
Leary created the show and is also its executive producer. Among the cast are former Sex and the City and Northern Exposure star John Corbett.
