Ahead of Monty Python's reunion shows, star John Cleese has said that he is relieved he will not have to perform the classic Ministry of Silly Walks sketch onstage because it is not very funny.

Cleese makes the comments in the new documentary imagine... Monty Python: And Now for Something Rather Similar which airs on BBC One on Sunday June 29 at 10:25pm.

He says: "The one thing I'm glad I won't have to do is the Silly Walk sketch, which I never thought was as funny as everybody else did."

He continues: "And I pointed out to [Python colleague] Terry Jones - I think it was his idea - the only reason it became so iconic was the brilliance of my performance, because I never thought it was a very good sketch."
