I Am Jesus, the new short film which has Fair City star Sorcha Furlong (Orla) and her longtime co-star Sarah Flood (Suzanne) among its writers, will screen at the Galway Film Fleadh (July 8-13).

Furlong and Flood, along with co-writers Caroline Grace-Cassidy and Elaine O'Connor, form Smart Blondes, the "first all-female Irish film and television production company".

Directed by Emmet Harte and produced by Park Pictures, I Am Jesus is described as exploring "the phenomena of 'following' and 'followers' through one man and a sandwich board".

Flood is also among the stars of the short, which will be shown at the Town Hall Theatre in Galway on Friday July 11 at 12:00pm.

Grace-Cassidy said: "I'm absolutely thrilled our second short film I Am Jesus has been selected for the 26th Fleadh. Our first, Princess Rehab, was acclaimed at last year's Fleadh.

"We can't wait to get down and see all the films in this year's programme."
