Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O is releasing a solo album this year.
The singer's debut solo record, Crush Songs, will be released this September via The Strokes singer Julian Casablancas' label Cult Records.
The music for the album was written between 2006 and 2007.
Karen explained what the record was about via a message on her website, writing: "When I was 27 I crushed a lot. I wasn't sure I'd ever fall in love again. These songs were written and recorded in private around this time.
"They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours."
Casablancas commented: "So excited, lucky and proud to be involved with such a classic album - I just wanna listen to it all day. Karen is an all-time great."
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' last album, Mosquito, was released in 2013.
Karen O recently received a Best Original Song Oscar nomination for The Moon Song, which was on the soundtrack to Spike Jonze's movie Her.
