Caroline Morahan has revealed she is writing a movie script and hopes to cast herself in the lead role.
The 36-year-old TV presenter and actress, who is currently living in LA, is in the middle of writing her own movie script.
Speaking to The Herald Morahan said: "I am in the process of writing a riotous rom-com. It will be a US/Irish co-production."
"I've been really inspired by some great indie features I've seen and I've always been a believer that you create your own opportunities.
"So I started kicking around some ideas and now this is one of two projects in the pipeline.
"I'm really enjoying the writing process and all going well hope to be shooting next year.
"It's a wonderfully empowering feeling to be creating on this scale. As an actor, you're so dependent on other people booking you for a job," she added.
It was recently revealed that the Off the Rails host was cast in the film What About Love with Andy Garcia and Sharon Stone.
Morahan seems to have struck up bit of a friendship with Stone as the pair have kept in touch since filming wrapped.
“We have stayed in touch, she is quite an extraordinary woman.
“She’s always been a heroine of mine because she got successful later in life, compared to your average tweeny star."
