Rose Byrne is set to make her Broadway debut in You Can't Take It With You.

The Bridesmaids star will appear alongside James Earl Jones, Kristine Nielsen and Annaleigh Ashford in the revival of the classic 1936 comedy by George S Kaufman and Moss Hart.

Byrne and Ashford will play sisters Essie and Alice Sycamore in the play, which centres on a family of eccentric New Yorkers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Scott Ellis directs the production which begins previews on August 26 at the Longacre Theatre, with official opening night set for September 28.

Byrne was recently seen on the big screen opposite Seth Rogen and Zac Efron in Bad Neighbours.

She also stars in the upcoming This Is Where I Leave You and in the Annie remake with Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis.
