The Beatles: The Night That Changed America – A Grammy Salute, 10.45pm ITV

Judiciously edited down from what was a four-hour concert, The Night That Changed America marked the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first performance on The Ed Sullivan Show, first seen back in February. The great Peter Frampton played guitar in a high class Beatles covers band, Maroon 5 sang Ticket To Ride and David Grohl, Gary Clark Jr, and Joe Walsh performed While My Guitar Gently Weeps. David Letterman interviewed Paul and Ringo, who were regularly spotted by the cameras singing along with the tribute artists. There were solo and duo performances from Ringo and Paul, and Yoko Ono was also in attendance.
