Time for a nostalgia buzz - Saved by the Bell is to be made into a TV movie.

The classic '90s TV series is now being re-imagined as a behind-the-scenes film which will air on Lifetime.

The Unauthorised Story of Saved by the Bell aims to bring to life the story of six young actors who are suddenly thrown into the Hollywood spotlight on the popular series.

The movie delves into the challenges they face growing up in the public eye.

Dylan Everett will star as Mark-Paul Gosselaar in the role of ringleader Zack Morris; Julian Works will portray Mario Lopez as AC Slater and Sam Kindseth is Dustin Diamond, who played Screech.

Also starring in the movie are Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Kelly Kaposwski), Tiera Skovby plays Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Sapano) and Taylor Russell McKenzie will play Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle).

The original show's casting director Robin Lippin has put together the cast for the TV movie, which is now filming in Vancouver.

The Unauthorised Story of Saved by the Bell will air on September 1 on Lifetime.
