Warner Bros have reportedly started to develop a reboot of the live action comedy Scooby-Doo.

It's over a decade since the 2002 release of the first, big-screen Scooby-Doo escapade, which was based on the iconic Hanna-Barbera cartoon.

According to Deadline.com movie bosses are the early stages of creating a brand new adventure for Scooby and his gang of young sleuths.

Sources told the site that producers are "starting from scratch" and have Randall Green on board to helm the project.

The first live action film starred Freddie Prinze, Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini and Isla Fisher as the mystery solving gang. It grossed $268 million worldwide, and was followed by the sequel, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, in 2004.
