Broadcaster, sports pundit and former professional footballer, Eamon Dunphy, revisits his old school St. Patrick’s Boys’ National School, Millbourne Avenue, Drumcondra, in tonight's season finale of School Around the Corner.

68-year-old Eamon comes clean on some mischievous capers he got up to during his schooldays, while getting rather emotional talking about a former member of the faculty.

Speaking about his fond memories of his favourite teacher, Mr. Hayden, a teary-eyed Eamon, said: "I feel very fortunate to have attended this school [as a student]. One of my favourite teachers was Mr. Hayden. He always encouraged me and praised me. He was kind to me.

"He knew that I was disadvantaged and he protected me. He was a very caring and nurturing kind of man."

He added: "The mistakes I've made, and there have been plenty, are down to me, but whatever good happened to me are down to that particular teacher."

In the last of the current series Ray D’Arcy interviews more children from all over the country to find out what they think is important in life.

Featured schools on tonight's show are Our Lady of Victories Boys National School Ballymun and Scoil Iosef Naofa, Tipperary.

Viewers are also in for a special treat with a beautiful performance of the Oliver classic Where Is Love.

You can catch the final episode in the series of School Around the Corner tonight Sunday (June 15) on RTÉ One at 6:30pm.
