Coronation Street cast member Krissi Bohn will be leaving the UK soap this summer as her character Jenna Kamara is being written-out.
The 31-year-old actress has played the daughter of taxi-driver Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) for the last two years, but ITV bosses have now decided to remove her character as they've run out of ideas for storylines for her.
Speaking about her disappointment at being written out of the programme, she told The Sun: “I have enjoyed every single moment of my time on the street.
“Although I am disappointed not to have my contract renewed I am thankful for all the experience I've gained and look forward to whatever the future may hold.”
Bohn was involved in several storylines on Coronation Street, including a lesbian relationship with Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and trying to protect her father Lloyd from his new girlfriend Andrea (Hayley Tamaddon).
Her television CV also includes an appearance on Law and Order: UK in 2010 and Coronation Street boss Stuart Blackburn complimented her, saying: “Krissi has played a key role in some fantastic stories.”
