The Consumer Show (8.30pm RTÉ One) returns with Keelin Shanley,Tadhg Enright and Kathriona Devereux. There is a new series of The Americans (10.45pm RTÉ Two) and Fíorsceal 10.45pm TG4 presents Twin Sisters, about two Chinese girls, adopted in Norway and the USA. They meet when they are both eight years of age in Norway. This absorbing film won Audience Prize at the recent Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival.

The Consumer Show, 8.30pm RTÉ One

The popular show is back, presented once again by Keelin Shanley, with reporters Tadhg Enright and Kathriona Devereux sorting out consumer rights. Programme one investigates a fire in a top-selling family car, discovers how savvy shoppers can slash the cost of prescription medicine, and looks at which pet hair vacuum cleaner is the best for a fur-free home.

The Americans, 10.45pm RTÉ Two

The Americans returns for a new series on RTÉ Two. Elizabeth comes back from her injury and straight into what should have been a routine mission. However, things go awry, leaving her and Philip in fear not only for themselves but for their whole network, and indeed their family. Just in case you have not been following (or resident in Siberia for the past while) The Americans is a period drama about the complex marriage of two KGB spies posing as Americans in suburban Washington D.C. shortly after Ronald Reagan is elected President.

Fíorscéal:Twin Sisters, 10.45pm TG4

This absorbing documentary tells the story of two babies who were found in a cardboard box in a Chinese village. Subsequently both were adopted, one in a small town in Norway, the other in the USA. Eight years after their adoption, they meet in Norway. Twin Sisters took the Audience Prize at the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival.
