The Waterboys and Midlake are among the acts playing this year's Belfast Open House festival which runs from June 18 to 26..

Also included in the attractive and diverse line-up are legendary ex-Bothy Band fiddle-player Kevin Burke, We Banjo 3, The Friel Sisters, traditional band Solas.

The Waterboys play Live at the Ulster Hall on Friday June 20. Balcony tickets sold out but standing tickets are still available online advance priced £30.00 (€36.80).

Melodic US outfit Midlake play Mandela Hall, Queens University Belfast Students Union on Thursday June 26. Tickets are priced at £25.00 (€30.68).

Kevin Burke plays The Sunflower Bar, Belfast, on June 18. Online advance price is £12.50 (€15.00) and tickets at the door are priced £15.00 (€18.00)

There are free music sessions and fans of solo singing should check out the sessions at the Farmers Folk Club Many other acts from across the musical spectrum are also scheduled to perform Laganside.
