Also taking part are: former RTÉ newsreader Anne Doyle, actors Maria Doyle Kennedy, Bryan Murray, Phelim Drew and Aoibhinn McGinnity, author John McGregor and musician and radio presenter Fiachna Ó Braonáin.

They will read from a novel, poem or short story every 30 minutes, allowing people to wander from venue to venue.

The venues are: The Mansion House, Freemasons' Hall, Buswells Hotel, European Union House, Hodges Figgis, Royal Irish Academy, No 5 South Leinster Street, St Ann's Church, Royal College of Physicians, National Library and Alliance Française.

A map and information booklet will be available from Dublin libraries, Fáilte Ireland tourist offices, the National Library and venues from May 9. See: www.dublincityofliterature.ie.
