Bob Dylan's handwritten lyrics to Like a Rolling Stone are going up for auction.
The iconic lyrics were written in pencil on small sheets of hotel stationary, in 1965.
The manuscript features corrections and revisions by Dylan as well as doodles in the margin and notes about the legendary singer's life.
Auctioneers Sotheby's has described the lyrics as "the most significant piece of rock material to appear at auction".
The manuscript, penned by Dylan almost a half-century ago, is expected to attract substantial bids in the region of $1.6 million (around €1.15 million).
The lyrics are being auctioned by a Californian friend and business associate of Dylan, who purchased them from him three years ago.
A letter from Dylan's lawyer verifying the manuscript's authenticity accompanies the lyrics.
The auction for the manuscript will take place in New York on June 24.
