Ireland's Eurovision hopefuls yesterday (April 29) jetted off to Copenhagen, Denmark, to begin their Eurovision journey.

Can-linn featuring Kasey Smith will represent Ireland at the 59th Eurovision Song Contest with their song Heartbeat.

Can-linn is a collaborative music act featuring traditional Irish instruments, while 23-year-old Smith from Dublin was previously a member of the girl band Wonderland in 2010.

The group had their first rehearsal in the B&W Hallerne this afternoon (April 30). Casey wore a long gold and light brown dress designed by Kathy De Stafford, with a necklace designed by Oliver Calla.
