ITV has ordered a third series of Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs for the autumn.

ITV's Commissioning Editor, Factual, Priya Singh, said: "We're thrilled to see the return of this much-loved series. Paul O'Grady, heartwarming stories, humour, emotion and of course, dogs - a magical combination."

The new 11-part series will see O'Grady travelling to Battersea Dogs & Cats Homes in Kent and Berkshire, and he will also return to the organisation's iconic London centre.

The second series of Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs averaged almost six million viewers per episode in the UK.
