Noel Gallagher has quipped that he would reform Oasis for £500 million - or 500 million condoms, pot noodles or tea bags.
Noel made the comments on radio station Talksport last night (April 28) when he was asked about renewed talk of an Oasis reunion. "I was in the newsagent the other day when the story broke and the Daily Star said, 'Oasis to get back together for £500 million', which is half a billion."
"I'd do it for half a billion anything: Yorkshire Tea bags, condoms, Pot Noodles."
Early silly season rumours of a reunion began after Liam Gallagher posted a series of "cryptic" tweets last week, prompting bookmakers to suspend betting on the possibility of the band reforming and headlining Glastonbury.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has since officially ruled out an Oasis performance and ex-Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs told NME Gallagher's tweets may have been posted simply because they went out for a drink together.
"Probably the fact that I texted him going, ‘Meet me in the beer garden’. That probably rattled his cage. Maybe that. I don’t know though, because I meet him every f***ing month. Maybe he’s just reminiscing."
