Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) will decide to investigate her friend Lucy's murder in EastEnders next week.
Warning: spoiler alert!
Radio Times reports that Lauren goes to find a client who wanted to meet her on the day that Lucy died.
Lauren thinks that Lucy may have gone to the meeting in her place.
Actress Jossa said: "Lauren realises that she might have found a crucial clue about Lucy's death. Her first thoughts are: 'This message was meant for me, it was addressed to me, so why did Lucy go and meet them?'
"The police don't seem to take any notice, but she feels like she owes it to Lucy to find out."
Asked if Lauren was putting herself in danger, Jossa replied: "Well, she's arranged for the meeting to be in a public place and she's told Peter (Ben Hardy) about it. So it's not like she's doing it completely on her own. She's trying to do it the right way."
However, in the scenes to air on BBC One and RTÉ One next week, things will not turn out quite how Lauren had planned.
