Zack Snyder has signed on to direct an upcoming movie about the Justice League.
Warner Bros president of worldwide production Greg Silverman told the Wall Street Journal that studio is moving forward with the comic book film.
Silverman commented: "It will be a further expansion of this universe. Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League."
Man of Steel's Henry Cavill is expected to reunite with the director to reprise his role as Superman, while Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot are also expected to star as Batman and Wonder Woman respectively.
A release date for the Justice League movie has not yet been set, but sources told The Hollywood Reporter that it could open in 2017, a year after Superman vs Batman, which will hit cinemas on May 6, 2016. The movies will be shot back-to-back.
