There have been further reports today that AD/DC guitarist Malcolm Young has a ‘serious illness’ and will never perform or record again.

Speaking on Australia’s ABC radio this morning (April 16), Mark Gable of Sydney band The Choirboys, who are label mates of AC/DC, said Young was seriously ill.

"That is true, Malcolm is sick. From what I understand, and it's even been confirmed in part by his son Ross, that it would appear Malcolm is unable to perform any more.

"It's not just that he's unwell, it's that it is quite serious. It will constitute that he definitely won't be able to perform live. He will probably not be able to record.”

There has yet been no official statement from AC/DC but according to a source who knows Young’s family, New Zealand website Stuff claimed that his condition was so bad that he may require full-time care.
