30 minutes for Macca US gig to sell out

It took just thirty minutes for every seat in the Times Union Center in Albany New York to be sold for the Paul McCartney concert on July 5.

Garth Brooks  - clearly not just big in Croke Park - holds the record at the venue for three concerts he once performed there which sold out in 20 minutes in the late 1990s.

Devoted McCartney fan, Kristi Van Patten is getting married on the day he plays Albany. "The wedding was already planned and then my friend's mother called to say, 'guess what, Paul McCartney is coming for your wedding day,' 'I said well we're going to have to move the ceremony."'

Van Patten, it seems will attend the concert in her wedding dress, and she has just one request for Paul McCartney -  that he play Silly Love Songs. Macca will also play three other dates in the US, with another venue in Louisville, Kentucky also confirmed.
