Marilyn Monroe's earrings auctioned for $185,000

A pair of rhinestone earrings that once belonged to Marilyn Monroe have been auctioned for $185,000/€133,554.65.

Monroe wore the silver earrings, which are valued between $150,000 and $200,000, to the premiere of The Rose Tattoo in 1955 and were sold at the Julien's Auctions Hollywood Legends memorabilia sale in Beverly Hills this weekend to a collector.

Other items sold at the auction included a lighter used by Humphrey Bogart, which sold for $19,200, and a 1986 Pontiac that once belonged to David Hasselhoff for $152,600.
