Colin Morgan has been cast in the second series of the BBC crime thriller The Fall.
The Northern Irish actor will play DS Tom Anderson, an officer on the hunt for serial killer Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan).
Morgan will appear in the final three episodes of the new six-part series, which will see his character working closely with Gillian Anderson's DSI Stella Gibson.
He commented on his new role: "I'm delighted to be joining the cast of The Fall for what is going to be an exciting and gripping second series.
"Allan Cubitt has written exceptional material and I feel very privileged to be working with him and the very talented cast."
The Fall's leading star Jamie Dornan recently won the Rising Star award at this year's IFTAs ceremony, while he also received a Leading Actor nomination at the BAFTAs, with the show itself getting a nod in the Mini Series category.
Morgan is best known for playing the title role in the BBC show Merlin. He also starred in the drama Quirke alongside Gabriel Byrne.
