Coldplay will not be doing any media interviews for their "experimental" new album Ghost Stories and say they want a low-key release for the record. They may also release a second new album early next year.
Ghost Stories is out on May 16 and is being talked about as a completely different direction for the band, while the rumoured follow-up is expected to be a return to a more commercial sound.
Comparisons have been drawn with Zooropa, U2's follow-up to Achtung Baby and Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac.
A double album from Coldplay is expected to be followed by a tour in 2015, giving fans time to digest the new sound.
