Martin Freeman has taken the title role in a new production of Richard III on the West End.
The Hobbit star will take to the stage at Trafalgar Studios later in 2014.
Jamie Lloyd will produce the latest production of the William Shakespeare play as part of Trafalgar Transformed season, which was launched last year with Macbeth starring James McAvoy.
Freeman previously tread the boards at the Royal Court in London and the National Theatre.
The actor's Sherlock co-star Benedict Cumberbatch recently signed up to play Hamlet in a London production next year.
Freeman can next be seen in FX's Fargo TV series.
