RTÉ TWO are looking for new television presenting talent and are launching The RTÉ Two New Voices Award with the National Student Media Awards.
The channels is looking for new young presenters who will add to the diversity in Irish broadcasting in a way that accurately reflects contemporary Irish life.
In particular, RTÉ TWO is interested in groups and individuals are who currently under-represented in Irish broadcasting.
Along with The RTÉ TWO New Voices Smedia Award and trophy, the winning student will get a four-six week work placement in RTÉ TWO Television during the summer of 2014.
During this time the student will be given mentored production training, on- and off-screen and in a variety of departments. During this period the winner will be paid a nominal weekly sum.
To be in with a chance to win this prize and amazing career opportunity, students are invited to submit a showreel, which has been uploaded to the You Tube Channel.
Then send this You Tube link to: firstname.lastname@example.org along with your CV or Bio by midday Friday 4th April.
Please make sure to include your name, phone number, email address and the college you are currently attending. The showreel should be no longer than 2-3 minutes in duration and should highlight your reporting and/or presenting skills, (including pieces to camera or interviews).
All National Student Media Award winners will be announced at the Smedias on the 9 April in the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin 4 from 8pm. Kevin McGahern will co-host the event with The Viper.
