Twilight actress Nikki Reed and her husband, American Idol contestant Paul McDonald, have announced that they are separating after two years of marriage.
The couple met at the premiere of Red Riding Hood in 2011 and got married seven months later.
Despite the split, they will continue to work on their planned studio album I'm Not Falling, which will be released later this year.
A representative for the actress confirmed the news to People, saying in a statement: "After much consideration, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are ending their marriage. They have been living separately for the past six months due to work obligations.
"They will continue to share their love of music, and are still working on their debut album, I'm Not Falling, releasing in 2014. They remain best friends and look forward to their continued journey together."
Reed and McDonald previously released a duet Now That I Found You, which was featured on the Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part II soundtrack.
