The Walking Dead writer teases S4 finale

1 of 1 Kirkman:
Kirkman: "If you think you've seen that before, you haven't"

The Walking Dead writer Robert Kirkman has insisted that viewers will be in for a shock during the season four finale.

Warning: Spoiler Alert!

In recent episodes the remaining survivors have been desperately seeking out a 'safe town' known as Terminus, while the main man Rick (Lincoln) is being followed by Joe's marauders.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, 35-year-old Kirkman said: "This is Rick Grimes being pushed to his absolute limit. And if you think you've seen that before, you haven't. And the Rick Grimes that comes out of this is really going to shock people."

He added: "This last half of season four has been a character-defining group of stories for everyone, but really, Rick Grimes - really finding what this guy is going to be able to do and how he is going to carry on, and is he going to get these people.

"And I think there are some big questions that are asked that are going to be answered in this final episode."

You can catch The Walking Dead on Monday on Fox.
