Love/Hate star Tom Vaughan-Lawlor is to reprise his award-winning dual roles in Mark O'Rowe's Howie the Rookie at the Olympia Theatre this November, with the Landmark production then moving to London's Barbican.

The play will run at the Olympia from November 11 to 15 and in the Pit at the Barbican from November 19 to 29. Olympia tickets go on sale this Friday, March 28, priced from €25.

Speaking from the set of the fifth series of Love/Hate, Vaughan-Lawlor said: "I'm really looking forward to bringing Howie the Rookie back to Dublin, and I'm delighted London audiences will get a chance to see Mark O'Rowe's stunning play at the Barbican."

Vaughan-Lawlor won Best Actor at the recent Irish Times Theatre Awards for his work on Howie the Rookie.

Originally a two-hander, it is described as an "adrenaline-fuelled ride into Dublin's underworld, narrated first by the Howie, then picked up by the Rookie".

O'Rowe said: "Working with Tom Vaughan-Lawlor has been an absolute high point in my theatrical life, and so I am thrilled beyond belief that audiences both in Dublin and London are going to have another opportunity to see his astonishing performance."
