Two Grey's Anatomy residents are set to depart the long-running US medical drama at the end of the show’s current tenth season.
This follows on the recent announcement by Sandra Oh that she would be leaving Seattle Grace this summer after spending nine years playing Dr Cristina Yang.
Tessa Ferrer and Gaius Charles - who play Leah Murphy and Shane Ross - have not had their contracts renewed for season 11, according to Deadline.
The characters were first introduced to Shonda Rhimes’ much-loved drama in season nine as interns. Initially signed on a recurring basis, the pair were promoted to series regulars ahead of season ten.
The pair formed part of a new group of interns alongside Camilla Luddington's Jo Wilson and Jerrika Hinton's Stephanie Edwards, who are likely to stay at Seattle Grace.
In January, Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey agreed new two-year contracts that would see them remain for seasons 11 and 12, although the show has not officially been renewed beyond its current tenth run.
Grey’s Anatomy continues on Tuesdays on RTÉ Two.
